Mindset Shift

We as humans are made up of body, mind, and spirit. All of these parts work in synchronicity so the wellness of each affects all the others. This means that mindsets affect our physical and spiritual health as well as our mental health.

See the Good, Make the Shift
So, what is a mindset? How are they formed? A simple definition is simply that as I do something or think something for an extended amount of time, it becomes a lens that I view other parts (or all) of life through. These can be formed in childhood or in adulthood and take time to grow. They also take time to change if I decide that’s what I want to do. An example of a mindset would be that, because I am always in a hurry, I have to grab fast food so I’m not late, even though I know I'm carrying around too much weight. And a mindset shift would be that I realize that my health is more important than getting ‘everything’ done, so I take the time to fix healthy meals at home.
You Can Do It
We hardly realize how much of a role our mindset plays in our lives. Our habits are where we feel safe and to change looks like a mountain, so we say we’re happy where we are. Yet mindsets are huge. Some are tremendously beneficial; some are tremendously harmful. What are your mindsets today?
Looking Up!
